Industry shafts endless

Optimal power transmission metre by metre

In most cases, the selection and dimensioning of GEMO shafts is simple. However, in order to decide on the right product, various factors must be known and taken into account, for example direction of rotation, torque, speed, bending radius and breaking moment. You will find all explanations of terms in our glossary.

GEMO Shafts with a length of more than 100 mm should be guided in a hose; in addition to better guidance, this results in smoother running and less torsion. As a rule of thumb, the inner diameter of the hose should be 1/3 larger than the diameter of the shaft.

It is possible to produce flexible shafts endless without oil, e.g. if plastic injection moulding is planned, or to cover the shaft with a plastic coating.
